1. What position does your character sleep in? ( i.e; stomach, side, back, etc. ) Describe why they do this — optional.
Duster sleeps splat on his face, limbs sprawled all over the bed. He likes the softness of the pillow on his face, even if he's barely covered by the blankets.
2. Does your character have any noteworthy features? Freckles? Dimples? A scar somewhere unusual? etc.
He has small scars on the palms of his hands where he injured himself during training, cutting them on rock or Wall Staples. He has facial hair, sometimes forgetting to shave it all, but he grooms a small moustache.
3. Does your character have an accent? What does it sound like?
A slight American Western accent.
4. Do they have any verbal tics? Do they have trouble pronouncing certain words or getting their thoughts across clearly?
Duster has a habit of opening his mouth and hesitating before speaking. He picked it up to make sure he says the right thing at his first try, but also to double check on his thoughts. When he does talk, the pace is slow and deliberate.
5. What are their chief tension areas?
Lower back and right leg, from his posture.
6. If you were to pick one song — and only one song — to describe your character, what would it be and why?
(I know there's a few playlists out there I need to find one)
7. How does your character perceive themselves? Positive? Negative? Neutral?
Neutral, usually. He's skilled, but he's not that amazing, he believes. It can change when he's performing at a concert or after a particularly tough battle, or when someone tells him that he's a moron. But he bounces back quickly.
8. Are they a quick thinker or do they need time to sort through their thoughts?
When it comes to fighting, Duster is one of the fastest thinkers. He know where to step to get in the next strike. He flicks out the Thief Tool he needs without a second thought. Rhythm is easy to follow, which explains why he can play the bass without thinking too hard.
For almost everything else, it's as if he's second-guessing himself. He believes he takes a long time to figure things out, which is why he puts a lot of time into mulling over an idea or decision. In regards to the latter, he takes too much time in picking between several choices and ends up being indecisive.
9. Does your character dream or are their nights filled with an empty blackness? Describe a dream they’ve had or a night they couldn’t sleep and what they did to preoccupy their time.
Normally he doesn't dream, or his dreams are mundane. At times, he imagines bright, vivid colors and music moving through his minds, while another time, he dreamt that he was drowning.
When he can't sleep, Duster goes on walks.
10. If they had a choice, would they prefer a subway or a bus for public transportation?
Subway, because trains are fun (he doesn't get the hype about green trains)!
11. What do they think of creation? Do they believe in evolution or do they believe in God? What is their religion like?
He isn't aware of evolution, thinking that animals popped into existence like magic. Once the idea is explained to him in detail, he'll believe in it.
As far as religion goes, Tazmily worships the Dragons and spirits that watch over the forest. He's more spiritual than anything, as je believes in destiny and that the universe sometimes puts him on a path he never expected.
12. Describe 5 unusual characteristics your muse has.
1) His limp
2) His awful, smelly breath (and socks)
3) Using staples to climb up cliffs, using a snake as a rope, etc.
4) Communicating with the Mr. Saturns like the animal whisperer he is.
5) His ability to get damsel'd (see: his disappearance kicking off the main plot, getting captured when the party is split up)
13. Have they ever been so overwhelmed they had to stop and take a break from something?
Duster is a chill guy, and when things get anywhere near "overwhelming", he gets quiet, cutting off the outside world while he focuses on the current tasks. He tries not to have things affect him.
14. Are they a team player or do they prefer to be solo?
He's okay with being solo, but he'd much prefer to work as a team.
15. Can they multi-task or must they focus on one subject at a time?
He wants to say he can multi-task, but he works much better when he can focus on one thing at a time. He likes practicing playing the bass with no one around and when fighting, focus on one enemy at a time.
16. What are their best school subjects? What are their worst? List five of each.
Best: Music, PE, Zoology, Health, English
Worst: Theater, Chemistry, Economics, Physics, Math
17. Is your character an introvert or an extrovert? How do they handle big crowds of people?
Introvert. He loves being around crowds sometimes (like during concerts) because it can be fun, but afterwards, he needs a break to rest alone in his room. When part of a crowd, he focuses on his friends and ignores anyone else in the vicinity.
18. Are they a leader, do they prefer to follow, or would they rather just stay on the sidelines altogether?
Follow, follow, follow. If he can be of any help, he wants to join, but any sort of leadership outside of leading a group through a castle is above his ability. He's not charismatic enough. A bass is a supportive instrument, and his Thief Tools are idea for supporting the party members during a battle despite being a heavy hitter. He has the potential to be a leader if he was confident enough, but he likes being in the supportive role.
19. If your character was suddenly challenged, would they rather run away or stay and fight?
Stay and fight, he's no coward! He might be confused if it's not a challenge to physical combat, but if he can, he'll ask for clarification.
20. If your character was allowed to murder one person without any consequences, who would that person be and why?
Porky. This questions assumes that he's killable, so Duster is using it to punish him for what he did to the Nowhere Islands and rid him of his current fate.
Game-wise, he would kill Ryuunosuke Uryuu because he is a serial killer and the other characters would be better off without him.
21. Your character has been granted 3 wishes; what would they wish for and why?
1) To make a new house where he, Kumatora, Lucas, and Boney can all live together as a found family.
2) To let Porky die because eternity in the Absolutely Safe Capsule is creepy.
3) Fix his breath so it smells nice.
22. Does your character trust people right off the bat or does it take them some time to warm up to someone?
From early on in the story, Duster would trust anyone who shows him overt affection, as it's the opposite of being mostly overlooked by the Tazmilians and Wess' treatment of him. He puts a lot of faith into the people he knows. As time goes on, his views become healthier, but he tends to trust people more easily than others if they're kind.
23. Do they prefer romance or affection? What is the quickest way to your character’s heart?
Affection. He likes making new friends that care about him, and romance is a nice thing to have on top of friendship. The closest bonds he can develop are familial bonds and platonic BFFs. The best way to win his favor is to complement him and encourage his hobbies, helping him learn new things.
24. Does your character have any enemies? If so, who and why?
Duster isn't one to hold grudges easily, and the only people he's consider enemies are Porky and Fassad, and they are terrible. When fighting, he can think of the Pigmasks as general "enemies", but he doesn't see everything in black and white when it comes to them.
In Dangan Roleplay, his primary enemy is Tsukiyama for his manipulative nature and for losing his trust. After that comes Ryuunosuke who's a straightforward serial killer.
25. Do they have any weird bedroom habits? Any unusual kinks?
...Not really? He prefers to bottom? (not a great question for an asexual to answer)
26. How does your character prepare for bed? Do they sleep at all or can they stay awake for days on end without trouble?
It used to be that he went to bed as-is, as he was normally tired at the end of the day. Just walk over to the bed, flop down, and sleep. If he was feeling too restless to sleep, he went on a quick walk.
Currently, he does a bit of reading before bed, whether a novel or looking through music.
27. If your character had one thing to say to their parents before they died, what would it be?
"Thanks for teaching me to be a thief."
And that's all he'd say out loud.
28. Are they afraid of death? Do they have any regrets?
He doesn't freak out over the possibility of death, and he doesn't think about it. However, if he did die, he'd regret not being alive long enough to see if his friends were alright.
He subtly regrets that he didn't grab the Egg of Light when he first went on his Osohe mission, which would have prevented most of Mother 3 from happening. He tries not to think about it and ignore the consequences.
29. Does your character get restless when things are too quiet or do they favour solitude and silence? Why?
Duster's an introvert, and despite his fighting prowess, he's calm and peaceful the majority of the time. He's used to spending some time alone to collect this thoughts and enjoys spending time alone practicing the bass or laying outside (this can be done with friends).
30. Finally; if your character was forced to eat one thing for the rest of their life, what would they choose and why?
Cheese, because there are many varieties, and it's delicious.
Duster sleeps splat on his face, limbs sprawled all over the bed. He likes the softness of the pillow on his face, even if he's barely covered by the blankets.
2. Does your character have any noteworthy features? Freckles? Dimples? A scar somewhere unusual? etc.
